The Balm In Gilead and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals present an Educational Webinar about Hereditary ATTR Amyloidosis on Tue, July 25, 2023 at 7pm ET

In partnership with The Balm In Gilead and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, the goal of this webinar is to provide education about hereditary ATTR (hATTR) amyloidosis, a rare condition disproportionately affecting African Americans.

Join us to hear from Dr. Ugochukwu Egolum, a cardiologist at The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, a healthcare professional experienced in the management of hATTR amyloidosis and Giselle, a patient living with this rare, genetic disease.

Approximately 1 in 25 (4%) of African Americans have a certain genetic variant associated with hATTR amyloidosis. Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of the disease, how it’s passed down, and where to find additional educational resources.
