Robert Spriggs Jr., known as Minister R J, is one of San Diego, California’s first Christian rappers who came on the scene in the late 1980’s. He was in a group with his brother Raymond Spriggs Sr. and Daniel Wright Sr. called, “The Saintified Rappers.” Growing up as a “Son Of A Preacherman” afforded him the opportunity to travel the United States while rapping & singing. He is a member of the Grammy Nominated group Eddie Baltrip & Fulfillment. He has shared the stage with the likes of Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark- Sheard, Donald Lawrence, DeWayne Woods, Lena Byrd-Miles, & Mary Mary.

The song is an inspiration of a “PK” preachers’ kid
(Son Of A Preacherman) who navigated his way from the streets to the church. Although he grew up in a Christian home, the streets kept calling him. He eventually committed his life to the Lord and now serves as a living example that God can change anyone who wants change.
